Music Fo Yo Soul Review by Philip Gayle

G. Prinz

This duet came with a new sound of rap that definitely appealed to the young people within the audience. For their first appearance (and the first artists to come onto the stage) G Prinz knew how to engage the audience and get everyone on their feet. It was their first public appearance and they may have been a little nervous, but they certainly received a good response, and I’m sure they will be pleased with their performance.

Shoa
This three piece band gave a fresh acoustic sound with excellent vocals. Shoa had a great response from the audience and many people felt this local band could easily be performing with the likes of Matt Redman and other well known worship artists in the UK. They are currently in the studios recording and after their rapturous applause at the concert I’m sure their CD will be one to purchase for any who loves listening to an acoustic sound.

Nathan Henry
This 13 year old began his performance with a well known song by R Kelly ‘I believe I can Fly’ and as soon as he began the audience began to cheer. It’s clear that Nathan loves to be on stage performing in front of people and shows no nerves. Nathan is heading in the right directions to having a career in performing arts and as he continues with his training I’m sure he will get there.

Rebecca & Patrick Linton
Patrick and Rebecca are both confident professional singers in their own right who for the first time performed a duet together on stage as husband and wife. Patrick and Rebecca delivered two soulful ballads that showed the quality voices they have. However, they are not just singers but worshippers and this was evident in their delivery on the night. Their final piece was an up tempo track that had everyone on their feet entitled ‘Let Go’. This duo could easily perform all over the UK and USA and people would be blessed by their ministry. Look out for them in the future as I’m sure great things are in the horizon for them.
